Blogaween | Pumpkin Picking - The First Pumpkins of the Year

Hello again and welcome back to another post within my Halloween series; Blogaween. On Monday, me and my mum went to a local farm to pick out own Pumpkins and it was the first time that I had actually gotten Pumpkins from a farm. It was so much fun and I thought I would share the experience with you all.

The farm that we visited was Hill Farm Farm Shop which is on the outskirts of Norwich and is actually in Crostwick. When we arrived, it was pretty quiet and we were instructed to simply grab a wheel barrow and head out to the field. They had actually decorated for Halloween, making the whole experience more exciting. When we arrived on the field, there were so many Pumpkins in every direction that you looked and we took a walk around to find the two bigger Pumpkins possible. There were Pumpkins of all different sizes there including really tiny ones, white ones and green ones. Many of them were different shapes too due to the way that they had grown. Once we had picked out Pumpkins, we wheeled them back to the Farm Shop and paid. They cost £5 each which I think is quite good considering the size of them and the workers in the shop were so lovely. I will definitely be picking my own Pumpkins again as it was a lovely experience and it would be good for all ages. I would recommend wearing wellies and taking a cover for the car due to the fact that both the field and Pumpkins can be quite muddy. Without me rambling even more, I will add in the photos so you can have a look for yourself.

Thank-you for reading, Tay x
