TK Maxx Beauty Bargains February 2017 | Too Faced, MAC, Stila, Make Up Forever, Urban Decay

As you already know, I am a huge lover of both beauty products and bargains and therefore, a fan of TK Maxx. I didn't even realise that TK Maxx had a beauty range until about six months ago and I haven't ever turned back. With TK Maxx, you have to have patience as it is pretty much just a massive jumble sale and sometimes you'll find nothing that you like and other times you'll fall in love with almost everything. To be honest, I only go in the stores to look at the make-up so I wouldn't know about the clothing and home-wear items that they sell. However, I have managed to find some goodies recently and I thought that I would share with you my thoughts.

I actually have been in store twice in the past week and there has been a huge selection of high-end make-up products on offer. I will admit now, I'm not the first person to write a post like this and it is completely inspired by Beauty Markdown. But there was no way that I could find all these beauties and not share them.

Too Faced Cosmetics

Now, Too Faced cosmetics are known for popping up randomly in TK Maxx stores and when they do, they often sell out extremely quickly. Do you remember me mentioning the Melted Lipsticks being in store when I posted my haul? If so, don't worry because there are even more and a completely different shade and finish! I was instantly drawn to these when I walked over to the counter as there was so many of them in the most gorgeous packaging, they are the Melted Metallic Lipsticks in the shade Dream House. I quickly rummaged around to see if I could find one that hadn't been opened and soon did. However, when I swatched the item I realised that I'm not keen on the item at all as it was a sparkly bright pink shade that I wouldn't wear. None the less, I am sure that there are plenty of you out there who definitely would wear this shade and for only £5.99 (I believe), you can't go wrong. These are the second shade of these products that I have seen in stores after the Melted Frosting Lipstick made an appearance back in November so hopefully more will be coming our way in a few months. On the TF website, this product costs £19 so it is definitely worth picking one up from TK Maxx if you find a shade that you love. Update: I visited my local TK Maxx store again and actually found a metallic lipstick in the shade Melted Tu-Tu which is a pink shade and was the same price.

Another product from Too Faced that keeps popping up within TK Maxx stores is the Cat Eyes Palette. I was fortunate enough to pick one up back in November and I saw them again last week on the shelves. They cost £9.99 which is a huge bargain considering that they retail for £32. I have loved this palette since I bought it but definitely wouldn't have spend £32 on it. However, this product sells out super quickly and you'll barely ever find these palettes two days in a row so please pick one up when and if you see it. I was so excited to see these return but was also a bit sad that I couldn't go through the excitement of finding this much of a bargain again. Even if you're not a fan of eye-shadow or the shades inside the palette, it would still make an incredible gift. If you are hoping to find one of these in store and aren't sure if you'd use it, then you can read my review here.
A different palette from Too Faced has also been brought back recently and is again, an item that I managed to pick up in November. It is the TF Selfie Powder Palette and comes with three different powders which are meant to represent Instagram filters. These again are on sale for £9.99 and retail again for £32. When I went in store yesterday, these were hidden away from the main beauty counter, so make sure you're checking the nearby shelves too. I think that this product is worth £10 considering that you get three powders but I wouldn't pay £32 at all as I don't think they're even close to being worth that price as there isn't anything that really stands out with them. Again, you can see my review of this product here.

In the past, I have seen the Too Faced Bulletproof Liners make numerous appearances within TK Maxx stores and I have picked up two shades; Silver Lining and Get Lucky but when I went in store yesterday I saw an even bigger selection of colours including White and Black which I am regretting not picking up. I quite like these liners as they can be blended out to be used as eye-shadow and I think that they have such a creamy formula as well as being easy to apply. These costs £5.99 each in TK Maxx and are worth picking one up, just to see if you like them. The only downside is that the nibs are quite thick and they don't sharpen down too well but other than that, you can't really go wrong considering that they usually retail for £19 each.

The final Too Faced product that I saw in TK Maxx is again, another that I have previously seen and is the 3 Way Lash Lining Tool which doesn't really appeal to me as it doesn't have great reviews and I don't really understand the point in it. Having said that, it costs £5.99 in TK Maxx which is another big reduction from the retail price of £18.

I know that I said that the previous item was the last but I have visited TK Maxx again and managed to find something I hadn't before and this was the Perfect Lips lip pencils. I was quite surprised to find these as usually I only find eyeliners but nonetheless was pleased. The shades that I found were Perfect Red, Perfect Pink and Perfect Berry and I managed to pick up the pink as well as the berry. These cost £9.99 each which although isn't a huge saving, it is still some. These products were £15 on the Too Faced website but I believe were discontinued. If anybody has found the remaining two shades; Perfect Spice and Perfect Nude please let me know.

Stila Cosmetics

When I saw an entire bundle of products from Stila, I was quite shocked as I hadn't ever seen this brand in TK Maxx before. The first set of products from Stila that I spotted were the Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Liners which were available in a whole range of colours and I believe only cost £3.99 each, or maybe even £2.99 each. I didn't pick any of these up as I really do not need anymore eye-liners but I thought that these were quite interesting products to find in store. These products retail for £14.50 each, so you would be saving yourself a huge amount of money if you were to pick some up.

The next product was the Smudge Stick Waterproof Liner which I only spotted a few of and didn't pick up simply because I already have two that I don't use enough. Having said that, these are such a good pencil eye-liner, the formula is creamy and comfortable and I would recommend giving them a try. I think that these were around the same price as the first which again, is good considering they retail for £14.50.

Finally, I found a product which is again an eye-liner but is completely different from anything that I own and is the Stila Got Inked Cushion Liner in Copper Ink which is a gorgeous gold/brown shade and actually works so well. This cost me £3.99 which is incredible considering it retails for £20 and I am so glad that I found this product, I can see myself wearing it constantly.

I believe that there were a few other products from this brand including lip glosses that I whizzed past but definitely go and have a look as you never know what you may find.

Make Up Forever

Believe it or not, I did actually manage to find a couple of products from Makeup Forever and for quite reasonable prices too. The first being the Smokey Eye Studio Palette which I actually spotted on the website for £24.99 with its retail price of £45 as well as the Artist Palette Shadows which was £32 on the website, retailing at £59. I didn't pick up either of these as I really don't need anymore eye-shadow for the time being but keep a look out if you are a fan. I would love to hear if their shadows are good if any of you have experience with them.

Moving on, the only other Make Up Forever product I found was the Artist Plexi-Gloss Duo which has been in stores for a few weeks now without selling out and contains two lip glosses. I didn't manage to take note of the price of this but I believe it was around £10.

Urban Decay

Urban Decay are a brand that I know have been spotted in TK Maxx stores previously and they have made an appearance yet again. I managed to find a pair of their Fast, Easy, Sexy partial false lashes for £6.99 with a retail price of £12. I'm not really into lashes but if you are and these look up your street then make sure you have a look.

The other item that I found by this brand were a set of three travel sized Eye Liners which cost £9.99. I have seen these previously at a higher price of £12.99 but either way, they are much more expensive to buy directly from Urban Decay. I do own some of these liners and although they're pencil, they are super creamy and last all day.

Bobbi Brown

Over the past few months, I have actually only seen one Bobbi Brown make-up item in TK Maxx and this has been exactly the same. It is the Pastel Brights Eye Palette and was originally £34.99 but has been reduced to £28 which is quite good if you are after this palette considering that it retails for £42.50. These palettes are both online and in store but if you're trying to find it in store, make sure you check the make-up that has security tags because it isn't in the main make-up area.

MAC

I still cannot believe that I am able to add this brand into my post and I was both pleased and shocked when I saw that there were MAC products in TK Maxx. Firstly, I found a Mineralize Rich Lipstick in store which was a nude shade and cost £14.99 and then when I checked their website, I managed to find another in a more grey toned shade. If you're a lover of MAC lipsticks when these would be the ideal bargain for you. They do still seem quite expensive but if you were to purchase them in store, they would cost £21.

The next item by MAC that I found were two of their single eye-shadows in the shades Retro Speck and Naked Lunch. These cost £9.99 each on the TK Maxx website and usually retail for £16, allowing you to save £6.

Another product that I found on the TK Maxx website was a jumbo Lip Pencil in the shade French Kiss; a gorgeous deep red. This cost £12.99 and does look really pretty, I just can't get the hang of wearing lip pencils.

The final item that I found on the website was a Eye Gloss in the shade Pearl Varnish and to be entirely honest, I have no idea how these work but this costs £12.99 and usually retails for £18.50.

Saving the best to last, I managed to find a MAC Superslick Liquid Liner in the shade Defiantly Feline which is a gorgeous copper shade. I believe that these have now been discontinued and the only one I found didn't have a price on it so the worker sold me it for £6.99 which to be honest, does sound a bit too good to be true. Having said that, I was more than happy to pay this price and I am so pleased with this purchase.

NARS

The final make-up brand that really caught my eyes was NARS cosmetics. Throughout February, I have managed to find a whole variety of their single eye-shadows, some for £7.99 and others for £9.99. I have spotted the shades Baby Girl, Ombre, Party Monster and some Duos in the shade Mad Mad World. Aside from this, I have also spotted a few different eye paint pots for £9.99 (some reduced to between £6-£8) in the shades Solomon Islands and a dark grey shade named Tartar. I personally haven't picked any of these up simply because I don't tend to reach for single eye-shadows and they usually get forgotten about.

Real Techniques

Real Techniques is the final brand that I am going to talk about and is a brand that supplies beauty applicators including brushes and sponges. Real Technique brushes are a must have for anybodies make-up collection and different sets are always floating around TK Maxx stores. Some of the brush sets that I have managed to spot recently includes the Collectors Edition Eye Lining set, the Six Piece Eye Starter Set, the Five Piece Face Starter Set and the Brush Cleaning Palette. They also have a huge range of single sponges and brushes both in store and online including Powder Brushes, Expert Face Brushes, Stippling Brushes, Sculpting Brushes and Retractable Kabuki and Bronzer Brushes, all for a fraction of their retail prices.

Other items that seem one off that I have managed to find includes the Smashbox Powder Contour Kit, Elizabeth Arden is quite a popular brand within TK Maxx and there are currently a whole range of eye-shadow singles and duos both in store and online, averaging at around £9.99 each. There have also been a few Bare Minerals sets tucked out of the way including the Obsessed With Finesse set which is £24.99, the Jack Of All Trades set which is £12.99 and The Beauty Upgrade set which is £29.99. Another brand I have seen a lot this month is Illamasqua and I managed to find some of their Brow Build products as well as an eye-shadow and lip palette. A drugstore brand that seems to always be spotted in TK Maxx is W7 and I have managed to find The Cheeky Trio Palette for £5.99, the Brow Parlor Set and a few of their eye-shadow palettes, both big and small.

I hope that this post has been somewhat useful to you. Make sure to keep a close eye on what bargains are in store!

Thank-you for reading, Tay x
